The Mechanicals looking for Board Members
Body: Hey all - looking for Board Members for a new company - The Mechanicals (name in progress) (501(c)(3) OFFSHOOT OF bullbrothers.
Looking to do classic works (think Greeks, Shakespeares, public domain type of stuff), original works (from children's plays to dramas to musicals), to sketch comedy and improvisational acts.
Just looking for interested parties at this point. No major plans for a few months.
I'm looking to do open-ended runs (with substitutes and understudys) - basically, we close the show when a weekend goes bare. Then we regroup and decide what goes on next. Could be a one weekend run, or it could just go on and on. . .
Just an idea - send me a message if you might be interested or would like to know more. NOT LIMITED to theatre people, obviously, or even people that are in this area. I just want like minded people eager to create and perform above audience expectations, and expectations of themselves.
